Following the national pageant, Antoniette was chosen by the Miss Universe Canada Organization as the official designer for Leanne Cecile, Miss Universe Canada 2003. Leanne placed top ten at the 2003 Miss Universe pageant in Panama City wearing an Antoniette Catenacci gown that many considered to be one of the best dresses of the competition.

At a cost of $7,800.00 Leanne's gown was made of triple layered French silk chiffon. A combination of powder pink and antique white with a total of over 2,500 hand sewn ostrich feathers adorning each layer. The delicately hand-draped bust was accented with genuine swarovski crystal and bugle beads. As Leanne took the stage, the gown took a life of its own as Leanne elegantly and gracefully captured the audience wowing millions of viewers across the globe.
